  • Just ran into...

I ran into someone today who played for WSU baseball about a decade ago. The guy said Stephenson is a good coach, knows his stuff, but can be big headed and tough to play for at times... I told him of course Gene Stephenson is going to be that way. He's been coaching at WSU for longer than i've been alive, took it from the sand lot to what it is today and won a college world series. No worries here.

Did he say bigheaded or pigheaded? I guess bigheaded would indicate egotistical and pigheaded would indicate stubborn.

Either one would probably fit for Gene.

So nothing earth shattering then...pretty much confirms the perception of what some have on #10.

Yeah I mean, the guy didn't go off onto anything specific. It was about a 10 minute long rant though. My guess is he probably ran many laps for gene by the way their relationship sounded.

Why would this be a surprise to anyone?

This is common knowledge with people that know the program and have followed it for years.
