Omg. What a dumpster fire of a game by literally everyone.

I just looked in on the live stats and thought essentially the same thing. Those are some butt ugly stats for both teams. Looks like a race to the bottom.

In the first 4 innings Hynes and Bechtel faced 15 batters over the minimum.

Watching the PAC-12 Newtwork video stream. The video quality is good. But what litte camera work there is in following the action is lousy.

Nice job by Ryan Stuempfig with 3 scoreless innings of relielf in the 5th, 6th and 7th.

Tommy Barnhouse playing with fire a little in the 8th walking two and then with 2 outs falling behing 2-0 to the Arizona catcher. Tommy came back though and got an inning ending strike out to preserve the Shockers 10-9 lead heading into the 9th.

Aaron Haase on in the 9th for the Shockers. Arizona has the 9-1-2 spots due up.

Haase goes to a 3-2 count before getting a lazy fly ball to right for out #1.

Haase gets out #2 on a swinging strike out.

Haase makes a very nice snag of a one hooper back through middle to end the game.

Shocks win 10-9.

My players of the game are Ryan Stuempfig, Tommy Barnhouse and Aaron Haase for 5 innings of scoreless relief. Big 2 out double by Ross Cadena in the 7th plated what proved to be the winning run. Arizona deserves honorable mention for committing 5 errors leading to 6 unearned runs for the Shocks.

Tomorrow will be tough with the split doubleheader against Air Force and then Arizona. We need a well pitched game against Air Force to save as much pitching as possible for Arizona. I don't expect Arizona to be quite so charitable tomorrow.

5 errors. Can't believe it was that close considering all the gift-giving we received. But by golly, we hung on.

I think we turned a corner in that beautifully executed game.

Glad we played perfect ball and got so lucky against a good team. Expect us to be embarrassed tomorrow. Air Force and Arizona will both play flawless, meaning we don’t have a chance. Enjoy this luck win like all the basketball luck wins.
