    Former Shocker gets game winning hit in the Dominican Finals

    Andy Dirks got the game winning hit tonight in the final game of the DR winter league playoffs. Escogido de Leones won with two Shockers making a big contribution. Both Andy Dirks and Kris were a big reason why in the playoffs.

    I took a pic to send to Gene last week. The fans down love to have fun during a game.

            Dirks is playing right now on ESPN3 for the Dominican Champs in the Serie De Caribe. They won their first game yesterday behind 5 strong innings from Kris Johnson. It's bottom of the third.

              Dirks with a single in the 13th to break the 2-2 tie. Took second on the throw and scored on a double. 5-2 win for the Dominicans.

              They now play Puerto Rico at 5 p.m. All games on ESPN3.
