Eric certainly thinks outside the box when it comes to the mental portion of baseball. He is miles ahead of Butler, and knows what he is looking for in a Shocker recruit, and what it takes to be a "winning" baseball player.

To touch upon some opinions some time ago on here, the characteristics that Eric is looking for in a recruit, doesn't begin with size (height, weight, etc.) or even how hard one throws although those may be nice add ons to what he is looking for.
