Not expecting miracles from the Shockers this spring but I don't think we will finish last if Jake Hamilton is healthy and as good as advertised. In the meantime that's a nice big chip the Shocks can shoulder around between now and the end of the season. That said I am not surprised to see the Shocks picked last.

The student athletes that have stay have improved. They will play like a team with a purpose to win. That alone should mean improvement.

Can't blame the voters. Just gotta start getting better and smarter. It's not even a chip to wear or disrespectful. That's what the program has earned at this point. Time to start changing that narrative.

Young team, new staff. There are a lot of unknowns right now, but the players that are here are 100% on board with Wedge and the coaches so I expect them to be lit to burn the doubters. Motivation.

I expect this team to struggle, it won't be Wedges fault. He inherited a program that is soft. But I wouldn't be surprised if this team exceed preseason expectations.

I will be a little disappointed if we don't exceed these external expectations at least a little bit primarily because they are so low. OTOH we haven't done anything to establish that such expectations aren't totally deserved at this point.

I can see a team that plays with energy and focus. If not, they won't be playing

I would be shocked if we finished last. I will take a team full of guys busting their butt, playing as a team, that want to go out every game and compete and win over a team of individuals looking to improve their draft status. If HCEW has a roster full of hard-nosed, dirt bags, we will be more competitive than we have been the past 5 years with top rated recruiting classes that don't do the little things necessary to win.
