Shocker Baseball vs. Missouri State Canceled
Due to the threat of strong thunderstorms in the Wichita area Tuesday, the Wichita State baseball game against Missouri State has been canceled and will not be made up.
The game was originally slated for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field.
50 Cent Hot Dog Day has been rescheduled to the May 11th contest vs. ECU at 2 p.m.
The Shockers are slated to return action Wednesday when they travel to Kansas State for a 6 p.m. contest.
I'm sure this is absolutely no surprise to most. The Shocks pitching staff probably didn't really need 2 midweek games this week even though Missouri State is not very good this year.
The Shocks are scheduled to play Missouri State next Tuesday in Springfield. Apparently, Missouri State lost two of their pitchers before the season started including the guy who was probably going to be their Friday starter after losing their #1 starter from last year, Dylan Coleman, to the MLB Draft.

The Bears have struggled this year both on the mound (6.97 ERA) and at the plate (.237) with a record of 13-30 overall and 4-8 in the Valley.
