Are we the only school that has a bullpen named after their current PC? I wonder if there are any tax implications to making a huge donation and then 20 months later getting a job working for that institution? The donation was likely in 2017 or 2018, but I don't really know how large charitable gifts like that are structured. Is it all in one year, or spread over multiple years?

My question about Pelfrey's role is: What happens after this year? Are we going to tell another coach that he can't bring in his own guy to be the pitching coach, or do we tell Pelfrey, thanks for your year of service?

Yes. Going without a pitching coach just a month or so prior to the season would have been the right move. :)

If a change is to be made, there's no chance they'll make that mistake again. It was a good idea that failed miserably 5+ years ago and everyone knows that it was. If there is to be a next coach, whomever that will be will pick his entire staff.
