I count 14 games against preseason Top 40 teams - 8 on the road, 1 neutral site and 5 at home::

    4. Texas Tech - 3 games at Texas Tech
    5. Stanford - 1 game in Tempe, AZ
    16. OSU - 2 games home and home
    24. Missouri State - 2 games home and home
    32. UCONN - 3 games at UConn
    35. ECU - 3 games in Wichita

Another 21 against teams receiving votes - 11 at home, 1 neutral site and 9 road games. Assuming they are listed in order of votes received those games are:

    RV-44. Oklahoma - 1 game at home
    RV-45. Houston - 3 games at home
RV-69. Central Florida - 3 games at home

    RV-70. Wichita State
    RV-71. South Florida - 3 road games
    RV-72. Tulane - 3 road games

    RV-96. Creighton - 3 home games
RV-100. Oral Robrts - 2 games home and home
RV-103. Pepperdine - 1 game in Tempe, AZ
RV-104. Grand Canyon - 2 road games (1 game in Phoenix and 1 game in Tempe)

Actually, if they are listing the teams receiving votes in order of votes received this seems like some respect given to the name on the jersey. The Shocks are picked to finish behind South Florida and Tulane in the AAC coaches' poll.

Interesting schedule the Shocks play. 12 of their first 15 on the road and they play 12 of their final 16 regular season games on the road. 13 of the 14 Top 40 teams they play are during these two stretches and 10 of the receiving vote teams. 21 of the 25 games in between the tough starting and finishing stretches are place at home with only #16 Oklahoma State #16 in the Top 40 plus 11 others receiving votes including Tulane, Houston and UCF. For the Shockers to do anything this season looks like they will need to make hay during this middle stretch of 25 games and then hopefully pick up enough wins here and there in the beginning and finishing stretches to make it count. Whether they can actually do that is far from certain.

OF Will Robertson of Creighton was named a preseason AA by D1Baseball. (Original post did not allow comment there.)

Does Collegiate Baseball have everybody in the country ranked?

    Laughable.

    ... No really, deuces.

D1Baseball.com and perfectgame.com like ECU quite a bit more than CB. Both have the Pirates at No. 11 in their 2019 Preseason Top 25. PG also adds in UCONN at No. 20.

      D1Baseball.com
      3. Texas Tech
      11. ECU
      12. Stanford
      18. OSU

      perfect game.com
      5. Texas Tech
      7. Stanford
      11. ECU
      18. OSU
      20. UCONN

Came in here to drown my miseries with the basketball team and realized Todd Butler is still the head coach.

Do you think HCTB gets an extension if the baseball team finishes higher in AAC play than the basketball team? I know, that isn't funny any way you look at it...

Baseball America is out. Only three scheduled teams in this one.

        D1Baseball.com
        7. Stanford
        8. Texas Tech
        12. ECU

Interesting that Collegiate Baseball has ECU so much lower than Baseball America, D1 Baseball, and Perfect Game.

          BA - ECU 12
          D1B - ECU 11
          PG - ECU 11
CB - ECU 35 (not even the top team in the American, UConn is at 32)

USA Today dropped yesterday, as well.

        4. TTU
        9. Stanford
        14. East Carolina
        21. OSU
        RV -- 33. UCONN; 43. Missouri State; 50. Houston.

LSU will start the 2019 college baseball season at the top of the polls. The Tigers finished first ahead of SEC rivals Vanderbilt and Florida.
