8am tomorrow then win or lose 3pm. Win on the main field, lose on the adjacent field. That's 7 your time. Yikes!
Everybody's rotation is going to be a mess. Including ours, but with the injury we've replaced with an additional arm and if we have an advantage I think it's in the depth of our staff.

Redshirt sophomore All-American Shane McClanahan (Cape Coral, Fla.) will take the mound against the Shockers. He leads the conference with 111 strikeouts and sits tops in the country with 15.06 strikeouts per nine innings. McClanahan will be well rested, as his last start was on May 11 at Wichita St.
The Shocks clearly won't be intimidated by him.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 22, 2018, 05:34 PM.

Perhaps just as interesting is that the Bulls game notes state that:
Wichita St. will start Adam Keller on Wednesday. It will be his first start of the season. In 13 appearances out of the bullpen, Keller has a 0.98 ERA with 22 strikeouts and just one walk over 18.1 innings.

What is with these teams giving pitchers their first start in the conference tournament? Am I the only one scratching my head on these decisions? Let's hope it works out better for us than it did for UCF. I understand that some teams must win the tournament to have a shot at a Regional, but wouldn't it make more sense to pitch your best starter game 1 to stay out of the loser's bracket with the hope they may be able to come back on short rest later in the tournament if needed?

Not sure what the thinking is. Adam has good numbers but has only pitched in 18 innings in 16 appearances so he isn't exactly used to going very far. Could be they are planning on splitting this game up. If it works then the pitching is in decent shape. If it doesn't work their ptiching still may be about as good as it could be coming out of the losers' bracket.
