HOUSTON, Texas – Game two of the Wichita State-Houston baseball series has been pushed back to Sunday due to expected rain on Saturday.

Off Topic: BTW if you want to see a wild way to win both ends of a doubleheader check out the highlights from today's Lady Shocker softball team's sweep of UCF.

I will the series preview up to flyingMoose who does such a good job with that . But a little while ago I was looking at the weahter forecast thinking maybe

Shockers waste a Ritter triple in the first. 0-0 B1

Not going to win in this league if you can't execute.

HBP and walk gives WSU another golden opportunity to put some runs up in the 2nd.

Welp, Liam getting lit up for the second week in a row. Hopefully we can win a battle of the bullpens as that's where this looks to be heading.

                      4-4, bottom of the 3rd.

Liam pulled with a runner on 1st and nobody out for Killgore.

                        2 IP, 4 ER (so far), 6 H, 2 BB, 1 K

Hate to be hard on him since he's had a very good freshman campaign to date but this was an atrocious outing. Hopefully Keylan can get it under control.

GIDP followed by a fly out ends the inning, nice job by Keylan. Hopefully we can continue to hit Fletcher well.

                          4-4 to the 4th.

2 out single for Ritter drives in Young to push the Shocks back ahead, 5-4. Don't think it's been mentioned but this is a 7 inning game, so the importance of every run increases a bit with the shortened window to make up a deficit.

Although if you do get a lead, your pen has to hold it for 6 fewer outs. Maybe Killgore can get to Sanburn.
