  • Wichita State - Tulane Series at Eck Stadium

Friday's game has been moved from 6:00 pm to a Noon start. Saturday's game is a 2;00 pm start and Sunday's game is slated for 12:30 pm.

    http://goshockers.com/news/2018/4/5/...on-friday.aspx

The forecast for tomorrows game at noon: 44 degrees dropping to 39 at 3:00 pm, winds out of the NE at 26 mph, 40%-50% chance of showers.

Satruday forecast at game time is temps at 38 degrees but mostly sunny and with winds out of the NE7. That will seem quite pleasant compared to tomorrow.

Looks like a really good chance of a very chilly doubleheader on Saturday.

As cool as Saturday will be it sounds downright pleasant compared to Friday.

The cold and wind on Friday are will make it very unpleasant but adding some cold rain could make it beyond miserable.

Its sunny and 72 in NOLA today. While not good for the fans, it could be used as a benefit to the players as Tulane has not experienced those type of temps since February.

So they will feel at home today, and be in for a rude awakening tomorrow.

Forecast now has the rain pushed until 3 PM with temperatures mostly steady until then. Pretty fortuitous if that holds.

But the winds are the highest of the day during that window but if the rain can hold off that would make it survivable. But with a southern team in the house this weahter might actually work in the Shockers favor. Right now we have a feels like 37.

Also, advance tip of the cap to the 100 or so diehards who are going to make it out to the park today. Yuck.

                Both were cold and disappointing.

If you can hit one out to center today then you deserve a memorial plaque wherever it lands, that would be a true feat of strength.

It would really be nice if Codi get his pitch counts down to the point where he could give us 6 or 7 innings on a semi-consistent basis.

Startis to day off with a walk on a 6 pitch walk to the lead off batter.

Next batter singles to put runners on the corner.

Need a strike out and a DP grounder here.

Got the DP anyway but it did score the run.

It is just amazing how often lead off walks come around to score.

Decent spot for a double-play ball, though the run scores.

Leadoff walk comes home to roost, 1-0 Green Wave on a GIDP.
