This is probably the most discouraging look to the "next year" that I can remember.

              Neb Sluggers

I saw part of that game. It was the Wichita Sluggers 17-yr old team. The Neb Sluggers was a 18-yr old team. The Wichita Sluggers also have an 18-yr old team as I understand it. I went to Eck primarily to see the Wichita Prospects 17-yr old team play. They eventually won the tournament on Sun.

Still, AJ Latvig looked like he had really good command of his pitches. Taylor Doggett, the center fielder coming to WSU, made a very good running catch in deep centerfield during the game.

                Catcher

Shock10, Shelley of the WSU baseball office told me today that after quitting the team this spring, Ryan Hege changed his mind and is going to be on the 2012 baseball roster. That ought to bolster catching depth. Ryan might be a good candidate for DH at times, too.

What was the reason for him originally leaving?
