For the first time in a long time our guys should be playing with a little swagger. It will be interesting to see how they deal with success. Hoping for an improved Connor Lungwitz in a starting role then another pleasant pitching surprise like Preston Snavely or another freshman stepping up to provide a quality relief inning or 2. Go Shocks!

Not as good a start as the last 2 days but Connor gets a 4-6-3 twin killing to get out of an early mess and it's 0-0 top 2.

Travis Young doubles in Dugas for the 1st run of the game. ShockerNation traveling well too as it sounds louder than most home games the last few years.

Young steals 3rd and gets home on a productive Troutwine ground out. So far, this team is light years ahead of previous teams in execution and production.

Jordan Boyer goes yard and it's 3-0 Shocks.

Execution is going to be key. I think they're going to need all those extra "execution runs" this season. With them, they might be able to stay ahead of the bullpen.

McNeese gives us a run by throwing away a pick by the catcher. 4-0 WSU.

First and third and nobody out for WSU in the top of the 3rd. Mason O'Brien up after a nice pickup last inning at 1st.

Didn't get much out of that, but a wide pick off move gets us 1 and it's 4-0 going to the bottom of the 3rd.

HCTB may need to re-evaluate 1B and/or the 4-hole spot in the batting order. Need to find somebody who can provide at least some protection for Alec.
