Gillaspie didn't have to deal with failure as often as most. He batted .515 with 53 hits and drove in 55 runs in the Mustangs' 33-game season. He had 14 doubles, four triples and seven home runs for a .932 slugging percentage.

On the mound, the Wichita State recruit was just as successful. He was 7-2, allowing only 16 earned runs in 50.2 innings for an earned-run average of 2.21 while limiting opponents to a .197 batting average.

Sounds a lot like his brother in regards to hating failure and working hard at achieving. Will be nice for WSU to have him around next year.

These 3 young men should provide a young nucleus for the 2012 Shox. Not only does it sound like Casey has the work ethic of his brother, he looks like him on a larger frame. When does fall ball start? These young men will be fun to watch develop. Great recruiting effort, I just hope MLB is not paying attention to our recruits!
