How in the world is "The Class of The Valley", the Creighton BJ's a two seed?

One game against top 50 competition this season gets you a two seed?
Let's hope he can hit a D-1 Curve ball!

Umm....the Big East got 3 bids??????????????

You have to be efffing me. I don't care how bad the Valley is, there isn't one Big East team that could win the Valley.

That's a total joke. UCONN is TERRIBLE. Ok, they beat USC, nice win.

They lost to Purdue, Minnesota and Indiana. AWFUL.

They lost to Sacred Heart.....they were MURDERED by Rhode Island. They tied Holy Cross (2-2 after 16) and lost to Yale.

You're telling me a team like that gets an at large???????? Seriously?

Let's start scheduling some Big East teams. Hell, Kansas would have gone no worse than 6-2 against those teams.

They is no effing way St. Johns and UCONN deserve at large selections any more than I should be wearing an extra small speedo to the beach.

That is a travesty and the NCAA should be disbanded for pure stupidity.

Am I missing something? The Big East was the 13th best confernce and gets 3 bids and the MVC is the 7th best conference and only gets 1??? The 6th best conference gets 3 teams, the 8th best conference gets 3 teams, the 10th best conference 2 teams...

            St Johns Non conference schedule:

            14-10

Wins: Michigan, Minnesota (the Big10 lone rep, Illinois, is a 4 seed) Georgia Tech, Georgia Southern x2, Fairfield, Albany x3, Holy Cross, Wagner, Boston College, Hofstra and NYIT.

Ok, give them credit for getting Georgia Tech. Georgia Southern...okay but not exactly huge wins.

But now look at the losses:

Ohio State, Georgia Tech X2 (18-0 aggregate score), Georgia Southern, UNC-Greensboro (2 and Q in the SoCon), UNC (8-1 blowout), Gardner-Webb X2, Long Island University and Iona (14-4).

That's AT LEAST 5 bad losses, and 4 additional totally non-competitive losses.

            Something stinks.

Does anyone have the RPIs of the Big East teams and others handy?

I believe WSU's RPI was in the 70s.

                  Uconn- 46
                  St johns - 54

Not outrageous. But it us clear that this NCAA selection committee had an agenda to give northern schools a break. There wil be an equal opposite reaction next year.

And once again KSU gets in. Give them props, they were bubble at best during their tourney but ended up getting a few key wins to get them in.

They have the best D1 Baseball program in the State of Kansas.

I'm not sure why some are getting that worked up. It is not like they gave WSU bid away. They chose to give some bids to schools that frankly are "Northern" regardless of conference affiliation. If they hadn't give these bids to them then they would have went to LSU or Ole Miss.

The big news is LSU got punished for not playing non-conference road games.

Also I guess in St. Johns case it good to have a representative on the selection committee.

The biggest issue is consistency in selection. This committee used RPI as a tool and looked at other things than just RPI. Next year committee might be the opposite and RPI will rule the selection.
