Kevin Hall needs to consider totally revamping his approach at the plate. Whatever he is doing just ain't working. A real shame too because Kevin is about as good as the come defensively in CF.

Yes, 1972, he's a wonderful CF, but you're right -- he's at best a "replacement value" player on offense, a huge load for WSU to carry. He certainly would not have played for the teams that made WSU's reputation. How can your leadoff guy double and have the #2 hitter not only fail to move him but fail even to put the ball in play? (And in fairness, how can the coaching staff continue to bat him second? I know the bottom of the order is weak as it is, but if Hall isn't a #9 hitter I've never seen one.)

Edit about the offense in general: during the regular season, WSU touched Blach for six runs on 13 hits in 6 1/3 IP. Where were those guys today, as WSU rang up a hit, a walk, and 6Ks in 3 2/3 against him?
