I can't understand why Heller left that pitcher in so long. He was obviously struggling. He waited until after he gave up 5 runs in the inning and still didn't take him out until after he walked another guy (he walked 3 guys in the inning, gave up a single and a HR).

Home Field advantage and being the home team in a tournament are tow totally different things.

True but there is also a big advantage batting last. I think it would be kind of silly to have one team bat as the home team four-six times in a tourney. The higher seed is already rewarded by playing the easiest bracket. CWS and regionals do not follow that format either.

Maybe we should use a tee and make a rule that every player has to get to bat too, while we're at it. And as we're being fair, we should probably move the fence in 100 ft. so everyone has a chance to hit a home run.
