We all know that Gene deserves and has earned the recognition. Why don't we just leave it at that.

Gene seems very happy, which makes me, and hopefully all of ShockerNation, happy. I suspect he'll be at the yard this weekend, and what better reason to be there yourself and say hi?!!

I haven't been back in years; hopefully there is or will be a giant "10" placed somewhere in the field, on the scoreboard, or in the outfield a la the numbers in Kauffmann Stadium. Or better yet, if there's a statue of Stallworth at Levitt there should be a Stephenson at Eck Stadium.

I think at some point the stadium will be named after him.

Based on this video, it might be time for an update to the All-American Club and underneath...still probably better than 90% of D-1 programs.

Fundraising for Eck Stadium project nears goal
"If the fundraising campaign to complete a five-phase development plan for Eck Stadium were likened to a baseball game, Wichita State would be in the ninth inning with three players on base."
