We didn't win it. Bradley lost it.

Still the 4 big flies at least put Bradley in a position to lose it.
Spot on. I want the Shocks to win as much as the next guy, but if not for a dropped fly, we could have been looking at a possible extra inning loss and a 3rd place finish.

Hopefully it's a good sign of things to come this weekend and next week. :wsu_posters:
Not sure it's a good sign at all. Shocks are still scuffling through. Charlie Lowell with two sub-par outings in a row now and Brian Flynn has had two consecutive bad outings.

If we don't get these two guys back on their games next week will be very tough.

I also agree. The only difference is how many times have we beat ourselves this year. We tried hard tonight, but as long as we don't beat ourselves we are going to win a lot of games.

If we even lose once to these clowns it would be the exclamation point on a crap of a baseball season.
I have to agree, but now that we pulled it out you have to admit it's pretty amazing to hit 4 HRs against a guy that hadn't given up a HR in 90 innings.
Given the 'dead bat' era college baseball is entering, then yes it is impressive. I couldn't listen to the game, were the winds blowing out at 20 mph? If so, then I would put an asterik in the stat sheet :)

Not much breeze at all to speak of. Really, just mashed them all.

                  • Bu lost by 1 run, 1 run and 3 runs last weekend at Springfield, MO. The weekend before that they took 2 of 3 from SIU.

So Bu has been playing better lately in the Valley.

Winds were blowing out about 4 mph and less. It was a dead night. Coy's bomb was about 475 feet, at least.

I had to make a mad rush to the John and missed one of them; however the 3 I witnessed were mashed. It was JC's blast that I missed and 'The Bruce' said it traveled some 500 ft. ;-)

I would not have expected anyone else but you to have brought that up.

Good point and stay the course, 3.

                            • Wow what a game! Any time you can pull out a win after being down 5-1 is good. This team showed some good character tonight.

Cale Elam and TJ McGreevey pitched well. Hopefully Charlie will have his good stuff back next week.

Hitting 4 HRs against a pitcher who hadn't given up one all year is very impressive.

Now let's win these next 2 games a little easier.

Not only did the SS botch the routine pop up but he also opened the door with a misplay of a routine grounder by Micah Green to lead off the 9th. What a miserable way to finish off your day. Hopefully, his Coaches and teammates pick the young man up.
