I'm traveling back to ICT today from Alabama with a layover in Houston. Thought I'd catch the score. I don't know what is more surprising, that we won or there wasn't a game thread until after the game ended.

Gots to go, my flight is boarding.

Both Josh Smith and TJ pitched well today. Tyler Grimes hit a 3 run homer.

UE beat CU 10-1 today. MoST beat BU today. Shox remain 1 game behind Creighton and 1/2 game behind the Bears.

If the Shox can sweep Bradley next week and the Bears take 2 from Cu then the Shox would win the Valley regular season title outright.

If the Shox sweep Bradley and Cu takes 2 of 3 from Most then we tie for the regular season title but win the tie breaker.

Bottom line, if the Shox can sweep BU at Peoria next weekend, WSU will still have an excellent chance of being regular season champs and getting the #1 seed. :wsu_posters:

Gotta love the beautiful May weather in Wichita, in-and-out sun, a strong north wind, temperatures struggling into the 60's. It just wouldn't be Wichita without that awesome baseball weather.

Great pitching, great opposite field power by Grimes.. A great error-free game. A great way to shut up those annoying Terre TruckStop loudmouths. Do they even realize where they sit in the Valley?

Anyways, bottom line is we HAVE to and BETTER sweep Bradley next weekend. As long as sCUm or the Bares don't sweep each other, we will steal another Valley Championship out from under the rug, amazingly enough.

If Grimes would go the other way every now and then he would put up even better numbers.I hope today has some carry over effect for 12.
