        What a joke.

You know what Gene - since you can no longer coach effectively, then go to the all-American club and sit there and watch the game and delight the the crowd with your HAS BEEN stories.

Put this season in the refrigerator.

The door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard and the Jello is jigglin'.

Two bad innings of work, one by Beringer and one by Elam, do the Shocks in. Shocker pitchers were unable to record any strikeouts tonight.

Not sure why we are even wasting the time and energy showing up for mid-week games.

"Shocks will find a way" (to lose) seems to be the motto of this team.

Will Rob Walton stick around for Eric Sexton's press conference after the game?

If it isn't apparent already, this program is now a joke. How do these walks continue to pile up?

I know these games have been meaningless for a while and we're only playing for pride at this point, but are you kidding me?

                  A guarantee with this team:

They will NOT win the Valley tournament. They have ZERO pitching (minus Lowell and TK) and ZERO consistency.

Will there be any accountability from the AD?

                  HELL FREAKING NO.

                  ... No really, deuces.

Most of the pumpers have left the building.

I am wondering after seeing the freshman pitchers how bad this team will be next year.

Our staff had exactly zero strikeouts tonight.

We'll be lucky to finish .500 next year. I suspect Grimes and O'Brien will be going pro after the season concludes.

the bad thing - Grimes really had a good game in the field with 2 excellent plays - pissed away because Gene wouldn't make the move to replace his closer who just wasn't there mentally or physically. Gene owes the fans and more importantly the team an apology for not doing his job he's paid to do - manage.

BTW, somebody might want to wake up that has-been for a pitching coach and telling him staff blew another.

Not to mention that Kelley will be gone. Lowell will turn pro. Flynn might go pro. Springer will be gone. Coy might go pro, although he has not had a great season.

So yes, a sub .500 season next year is a distinct possibility.
