I don't know if we've had a comeback after trailing thru 7 innings all year, but I feel one coming on tonight.

For the record, my hunches have never paid off in Powerball.

I can handle the fact that the 40 plus win seasons are no longer a sure thing. I can handle not making it to the regionals every so often, I can even handle not dominating the Valley as much as we used to. What I can't handle is being the 3rd best baseball program in the state given our fans, facilities and tradition. Especially considering KU and KSU have zilch, zip, nada, in baseball tradition.

KU's right fielder crushed our chances with that catch in the 7th.

It sure gets tired watching this team get their asses handed to them at KU and KSU all the time now.

I can't even remember the last time we won at either of those places.

How sad.

And now pathetically the channel is turned to the Heat-Celtics game.

Thank goodness there is hockey. Playoff hockey. And it's been spectacular.

There is nothing, and I mean NOTHING, like playoff hockey. Its been a great postseason so far.

I see my rant got deleted. In all honesty, I thought more would get filtered. I didn't think so much would be seen.

Oh, the game was on TV? 'nuff said. With every loss to KU and K-State, Gene is dramatically accelerating his demise.

I went to the game and our hitters don't compete at the plate. We are lazy. Our pitching is simply not very good. KU is very average in every way. Every time we need a clutch hit we falter. No smelling blood in the water either. This is not a characteristic Shocker team at all.

KU has a very mediocre team this year. WSU shouldn't be losing to them, but that's baseball.

The lack of fundamentals by Gene's teams lately is concerning. Gene must ensure in-state dominance, if he hopes to have a recruiting edge. Otherwise, why would a player want to play in the MoVal when he can play in the Big XII at a more traditional campus. Gene is losing the recruiting edge if he doesn't get things turned around - quickly!

Gene shouldn't go yet---- but Jim Thomas is NOT earning his pay - regardless of how little it might be. If Gene doesn't get rid of JT, then perhaps Gene should go along with him. Wonder if ADES has the will to give Gene some fatherly advice.

Should be interesting tonight with the hecklers in the stands.
