Probably the same reason many kids that in the past would have chosen WSU have gone elsewhere.

There have been WAY to many talented local kids going elsewhere because of Gene.

I will always be thankful for what Gene has done for Wichita State. The Stadium should bear his name after this year when he is allowed to retire. I had hoped for a JoePa type revival, but it continues to be a downward spiral. Time to bring some new blood in, before we completely lose what little national recognition we have left.
