That's two outstanding games in a row from Brian. It looks like he is starting to really put it together.
SIU held on to beat CU 3-2 this afternoon, putting the Shox within a game of the Jays. Big opportunity to put some distance between ourselves and the Redbirds tomorrow.
Beautiful game all of the way around.Flynn was awesome.Springer and OB keep putting on a lazer show.Green put down a great bunt on the squeeze play.It was beautiful to watch.
Flynn was absolutely masterful today. IllSt couldn't do anything against him all day. Not many balls were hit hard and he had them way out in front all day. I count 12 OF putouts - all on lazy fly balls.
It is nice to see the middle of the order finally taking what the opposing hitters are giving them and getting some hits and driving in some runs. The IllSt starter had a good off-speed pitch that the Shox were able to finally adjust to and stay back on.
After a pretty lucky win on Friday, the Shox dominated every phase of the game without a bunch of mental errors.
Bring the brooms with your Easter bonnet on Sunday.

Flynn was the man today. He had complete control of the game. The Shocker hitters also came through and the defense was on track today. Let's keep this up!
Nice small ball by the bottom of the order to put the 1st run of the day on the board and another big hit by TC to plate 2 more runs and give Brian some breathing room.
Any bets on who will be the MVC Pitcher of the Week?
Shocks had the Lomentum on Friday and Flymentum today. Hopefully, the Smimentum shows up Sunday.
