It's really a shame COB's rocket in the top of the inning was hit right at the right fielder. They deserved to let in a couple more, which is exactly what would have happened if that ball is 10 feet either way.

Big win. We have a chance to put ourselves in terrific position with a victory tomorrow, as 4 of our last 6 MVC series are at home.

We are due for a clutch performance in a series finale, no?

Great job by Charlie and Cale. Maybe stayed with Charlies one batter too many, but he was just outstanding for 8 innings. I liked the way Cale came in and attacked the hitters in the strike zone.

Normally you would be pleased with 10 hits but with so many of them coming with 2 outs they weren't as damaging as they might otherwise have been. But you have to start somewhere.

Brent should be in a pretty good mood for his radio show to follow. I assume he will talk a little about Tim Kelley and who will go tomorrow.

Charlie had his best outing of his career today.

Tim Kelley is feeling no pain and will start throwing again on Monday. If all goes well he will be back in the rotation next weekend against Evansville.

Albert Minnis will get the start tomorrow.

Pitching for tomorrow looks good with Minnis getting the start. Then Muncrief, LaBrie, McGreevy, Flynn, Beringer, Rainey, Kemp, Sossamon, and Vielock. Thats left right left right left right left right right right. Cale Elam close a close game?

The defense was good too. Of course, Charlie and Cale struck out 14 so they kept the chances for the defense at a miniumum.
