Eric Harbutz is going to give it up and go under the knife so he is definitely gone for he rest of the year.

Shocks need to play a solid fundamental game and pitch well tonight to get their heads right heading into MVC play this weekend at MSU.

Alcorn State scores 3 in the first and it could have esily been 5 if Alcorn had not handed us the 2nd out on a bad baserunning mistake.

Was that a jinx? Unusual error too. Shane was on Sports Daily today and said he thinks it mostly a lack of focus and concentration.

Another thing from the pre-game show. Tim Kelley may throw a bullpen tomorrow. If he does and is pain free and doesn't have any follow-up stiffness he will probably be available Sunday.

If he doesn't or has any pain or tightness he will not pitch this weekend against MSU.

Shocks with a big crooked number in the 5th as they put up 14 runs to take an 16-3 lead and hopefully set Albert Minnis up for his 1st win as a Shocker. Shocks biggest single inning of the year.

Dane Parker with two 2-run doubles in the inning. Both well struck.

Albert did a really nice job after a shaky 1st inning.
