Seriously it is killing us not having Harbutz's bat in the lineup.

            Game over.

Tulane with a walk-off home run. The Tulane player's first home run of the year.

We should probably stop the season now.

No doubt, once you get past CO I have no confidence in anybody getting a hit.

Bayliff and Harbutz made this a much deeper lineup. Two games we could of and should have won. Friday if we could make pitches and play defense, and today we could not come up with a hit when we needed it.

                        • Freakin' disgusting. They throw out a starter who came in with a 5 + ERA and he 1 hits us for 5 scoreless innings. Ridiculous. The hitters got spoiled on Niagara and ND pitching. 3 and 4 in our past 7 and now comes AZ to our house.

                          • Tough weekend. Played a top 25 team even in their yard. Unfortunately it is still a 1-2 weekend.

Nice post, KC ... NOT. According to people actually watching the game in person, Sunday's pitcher had the best arm of the three weekend starters.

The Shox are looking for some offensive production right now, no doubt. They aren't able to string hits together at all and it is partly because there are now newcomers at 2B, 3B, LF, and RF - that is 44% of the line-up. A couple of the veterans aren't hitting in clutch situations either. Let's hope as these guys get experience they will find a groove.

Also, in case folks haven't noticed, the relief pitching has been mostly solid this season. That's big.

This long road trip was a good gut-check. Now let's see what these guys do against some good competition with a little home-cookin'.

                              --'85.

So, what you are saying is that we got owned by their number 6 starter despite the fact that he looked to be better than their number 4 and 5 pitchers they threw at us this weekend. I'm wondering what the Shox would have looked like had Tulane's 1, 2 and 3 guys weren't hurt and were capable of pitching this weekend.

Great, I'm glad that we made it competitive with our top 3 starters against their number 4, 5 and 6 guys. I feel so much better now - thank you for pointing this out.
