Ok, when people start talking mid-major, rpi, sos, mid-major polls for WSU baseball there's a HUGE problem. Any time you have to bring up subjects like this for any sport you are either hoping or begging to get to the next level or in this case definitely on the decline. Gene is a great coach there's no question about it but does he still deserve to be the coach just because he started the program? He's put it out there already the game may have passed him by and now fans are talking mid-major rankings.

Think back to when this program was dominate, topics like this would have made fans chuckle. Now unfortunately they make fans think. This years team will not even need to think about Omaha or a Super Regional and Gene was excited about this years team. WSU is no longer one of the big boys. When does Medicaid kick in?
