It costs the NCAA nothing to sit this young man for 28 games.
I would have watched TCU. I DID NOT watch Auburn.

This is complete BS though and there's no way the NCAA can make a case that this is different.
I also did not watch the BCS Championship game, even though I am an Oregon fan (still, even with the coach they hired).

They don't have to make a case. They are the NCAA. There is no higher authority.

I only watched about 10 minutes of the BS Championship game. I probably would have watched the whole game if TCU had been involved.

What good does it do to suspend a kid half of the season for this crap? It's just like public schools that suspend a kid from school for a couple of days for missing too many days of school. What? How does that make sense?

This way the NCAA can report that they suspended Cam Newton and Albert Minnis an average of 1/4th of a season.

I am not surprised in the least, the NCAA and the BCS in particular are nothing but organized criminals. The organization is nothing short of fully condoning institutional slavery.

Before getting out of my car, I was listening to 1410 this evening and heard the announcer was going to discuss the Minnis situation and another player who got kicked off the team. Did I misundertand? Or did someone really get booted? Did anyone hear the same thing?

The NCAA is so mad at Cam Newton that they penalized Minnis half his season.

Outside of the Federal Government, there really isn't a 'body' much more corrupt than the NCAA. They have taken so much of the joy of sports away from the fans.
                      This is complete BS.

I think we should go to the NCAA and tell them we would be pleased to plead guilty to not being a BCS school that will be playing for the National Championship.

As such we would gladly accept a penatly that is 5 times as harsh as Cam Newton received for the far worse illegal activities of his father that he allegedly had no knowledge of.

IIRC, Cam was declared ineligible for one day and missed 0 games.

5 times hat would be 5 days of no practice with the team and no games missed.
