Well, what do you expect from a 10-team league that calls itself "Big 12"? Gotta make up those two missing teams somehow. And, as far as the UNIs are concerned, now that their existing league is shrinking and deteriorating underneath them, they need to start somewhere if they don't want to get sucked down the drain.
