Who here really thinks that if you wait until they pass their first semester classes think they will actually fail? I guarantee every school who takes this chance will make sure they have a semester's worth of unfailable classes for their risky one-and-dones to take. The 2nd semester won't matter.
The blue bloods and any other school trying to recruit OADs will salivate at such a rule.

Fran Fraschilla said something on Twitter about Diallo should be cleared for KU. I asked him if Diallo hadn't done enough academically to be admitted elsewhere, should he still be cleared for KU. Fran never responded, but an account calling itself "KULiveTweetsAndNews" jumped on my thread talking about how i had no idea what i was talking about and what made me think Diallo was dumb, etc. I stated very clearly that I didn't know or say anything about Diallo being dumb. Went back and forth for a while and I made a comment about BS being willing to scrape the bottom of the character barrel when looking for talent. His response was that everybody does it, "even Turgeon and Marshall." Told him that BS does it more than all the other guys he mentioned combined. He says "Frankamp never did anything wrong until he went to WSU and got a DUI." I laughed at him and told him that we both knew better than that, and that CF just wasn't above the law in Wichita. He said something else about that's what everybody thinks about KU, that they get special treatment, but that they really don't, and that I should stop thinking we had some history of being elite. I laughed again and told him that I didn't say anything about my team or to him, but to Fran, and ended it with a #LivingRentFree #78-65. He blocked me after that one...but CF liked the tweet. I feel better about him already."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

Do not let greed taint our academic system. Doing this would devalue every degree handed out by any university who brings in a Diallo or a Cliff Alexander, even though they will likely never complete more than 12 credits.

I agree with this! Just wish that these OAD kids/special players could just be honest about their desires. We would find that most all of them do not want to
attend college and take any classes. They are only in college because it gives the best free advertisement of their skills and would much rather go straight to NBA.
Going overseas is an option but would take some intestinal fortitude and maturity to leave friends/family behind for a year. Either open up the NBA for 18yr olds, go
to D-league, or go overseas and play professionally. Actually kind of respect what Mudiaye ended up doing. Claimed all along family needed money, didnt look as if
he would make the cut academically for college, went to china and made $ for one year, drafted first round NBA. the media outlets are making the big bucks and
driving this whole issue in my opinion. Bleeding heart stories like parrish's all over the place hold very little logic when you really look at what they are saying.
Media has made so much $ off of amateur sports, that now many colleges, players, ncaa, etc want a piece of the pie. Are we fans expected to really believe that
Okafor wanted to be in college vs NBA last year? What good does one year of pud classes do anybody? AAU teams, agents, shoe companies are involved also
in making the amateur model a joke.
If a kid can sign with the military and deal with REAL RISKS(life), then why is it that so many media personnel start crying about how unfair it would be to allow
an 18 yr old to play in NBA and deal with all the "sharks" that are out to get his money? OADs and all the associated press, agents, shoe companies, etc are to
blame for ruining the amateur model. What can we fans of amateur sports do about it other than not watch our favorite amateur sports to send a message?

Did anyone get to see Diallo's first game? I watched bits and pieces of it, and to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. I mean, the kid's not bad or anything, but after all the hype, I expected him to just be an absolute beast. To me he looks like a slightly more talented but less physically dominant version of Cliff Alexander. I'm more impressed with the Bragg kid. Oh, and that break away finesse dunk with the hand behind his head? Come on man, you're 6'9"-6'10". You should be bringing the house down and rocking the rim, not putting on your pretty boy picture pose.
On another note, Perry is playing like a man on a mission thus far."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."

His timing around the basket was good. His body is mature. Oh, by the way he scored 13 points in the second half. After he became comfortable, it was on. A very impressive young man."You Don't Have to Play a Perfect Game. Your Best is Good Enough."
