. . . an ex-staffer hired a woman to provide strippers and escorts for players and recruits, as well as offered alcohol to high-school recruits.

Oh really? Another coach that has been in trouble on multiple occasions before...gets hired to resurrect a program...does exactly that, in the only he's proven he knows how to do, and they are surprised?

Using hookers to influence recruits and reward player. Gee, what a novel idea - NOT! That's been done before - and before - and before.

The most bizarre time anybody got caught doing that was the Colorado football team. What made that incident the most bizarre was that it happened at the same time they had the first woman on a D1 FB team - a FG kicker. Surprise, surprise - she reported a sexual assault by members of the FB team.

It took less than a millisecond for the coaching staff and athletic department to throw her under the bus and claim she was making the story up to cover for her on-field deficiencies.

If it's the case, IU bringing down UL, it's a UK fans wet dream. It's too good.

Wait a minute. One recruit from the 2013 season is coming forth to confirm as well. This pattern has obviously spanned many seasons between the 2009 recruit and the 2013 recruit. If their win over us gets vacated, we are at minimum National Championship Runner-ups aren't we? Hee hee

I think Luisville is close to St Lewis. :)

Maybe Luis Tiant lives in Luisville. Or is it where the old library computer catalog now lives in retirement. I cut my college library teeth on the LUIS system.

The you know what is hitting the fan here with the OTL report... People are freaking out, and I have to just smirk, because did no one really think this was true with the sleaze-ball head coaches they hired??

Five ex-Louisville basketball players and recruits told OTL of parties at a dorm from 2010 to '14 that included strippers paid for by the team's graduate assistant coach.

                              From the OTL report:

Powell's three daughters, who allegedly took part in the pay-for-sex scandal, recalled Russ Smith and Montrezl Harrell being among the players involved.
Harrell, who now plays for the Houston Rockets, denied the accusations, saying, "I don't know anything about it. I didn't too much stay at the dorm. I stayed off campus. I had a girlfriend off campus. ... It was pretty shocking that took place, if it did. I'm right there with Coach [Rick Pitino], as shocked as he is."
Yeah, when you're living off campus with your girlfriend, you're "shocked" - I say SHOCKED! - as shocked as Coach Pitino to hear of these allegations.
