  • Dumpster Fire King

It's comparable to something you would see on The Onion except it's not a joke.

Oh well, at least nothing was falling from the sky during the Kansas University football team’s annual spring game. Yet, plenty else was falling, including the sky itself. The big black cloud that hovered over the stadium seemed appropriate. Other falling objects: The starting quarterback, with a knee injury, smoked by a walk-on linebacker who […]

I don't think this deserves a "dumposter fire" tag. There's no way to light a fire on anything related to KU FB.

KU FB is not likely to be competitive with MVC FB. Probably most Valley FB teams could beat them consistently. Then throw in that if KU BB was in the Valley, they wouldn't have 12 straight championships. 2006 wasn't 12 seasons ago, and the 5th place Valley team took the B12 champion out.

KU is 1-3 against whatever team they played in the Valley during the time they won 12 consecutive B12 titles.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

The fire was lit when they knocked their own starting qb out of the game in a situation where he was wearing a bright red jersey as a reminder to players on the field that he wasn't supposed to get hit. Lol.

If he gets bumped in an exhibition type game how would he have fared against full contact in a real game. I know freak accident, but still....

Ranking the regional dumpster fires around the NCAA:

                      1. Ku Football- Curse of Mangino. This fire is more like a eternal flame.

                      2. K-State basketball- Getting Bruced a.k.a getting sent back to the stone age.

                      3. Creighton Basketball: That program may possibly never recover.

                      4. Wichita State Baseball: Fielding it's worst team in 34 years?

@BlairKerkhoff: There's only one way to lose a spring football game, and Kansas found it. Story via @rustindodd http://www.kansascity.com/sports/col...e19716756.html
