        IMO, all smoke and mirrors. You only see what they want you to see. From school to school, there is no continuity in where they apply income/costs within the athletic department. Also, special situations. Was there a big payout to a former coach? Was there certain improvements that were written off over 1 or a few years, not a longer period? Public vs private institution. No accounting wiz, just my opinion.



        Edit: I'm only talking about the P5 schools, some others publics, and probably most privates.
