Bob Lutz Annual Poll

Sometimes, I love Bob Lutz. I read the first line that said "back by popular demand, the poll is back" and my first thought was that I kind of doubt it was that big of a push from the public...
Then the very next line said "the terms 'popular' and 'demand' are used very loosely." I've gotta hand it to him for that.

A separate poll showing only BB and one showing FB would be interesting.

Beakers and Mildcats apparently pretend the question and its answers don't exist, by what is seen on various forums. Both think they own Doodah, when in reality it is not even close in WSU's favor.

Yea, it's interesting how differently local kids view WSU now versus the late 80s, 90s or early 00s (when many of us on this board were growing up).
Back then, we played a pretty clear third fiddle in the state and almost nobody in grade school/high school was a WSU fan first and foremost. There were a few, but not many. If you were young in the 90s, your lens of experience was limited to a decrepit, half-full arena populated by blue hairs and stories of the old days. Nobody lived on campus, the neighborhood sucked, and shuttering the football program was still a recent and embarrassing memory. Thank god for Gene and the baseball program during those years or we would have gone insane.
Kids now who are younger than, say, 18 don't really remember a time when we weren't at least "pretty good" at hoops, and evidence of our recent dominance is everywhere. Enrollment is surging. The campus has undergone a dramatic (and much, much needed) renaissance. Living on campus is not only safe, it's actually cool. Bardo is looking like the school president equivalent of Jim Schaus so far with his outside-the-box innovations. Just amazing.
The lean years really blew but I'm still glad to have endured them. Otherwise, it would be hard (impossible?) to really appreciate what have and what we're building toward right now.
