My brother in law is a big Ducks fan and I told him Diana would probably do a good job for the Ducks and it looks like he was turning things around for them but then......wait for it....according to my brother in law several of last years team has been dismissed with only three players returning and the loss of three probable starters. It seems to stem from what my brother in law says is a bad sexual assault case that is coming out. If it is true I'm sure there will be more coming later. I guess it is tough to recruit to "that level".

From reding the report of the incident, I couldn't help but get the impression these three guys seemed to think what they were doing was OK, and it seemed like they thought it was normal activity. Maybe she's not the first for them. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I hate to sound too cynical and jaded, and I am in no way condoning the actions of the persons involved, but I suspect these kind of activities are far more common than any of us realize or would be comfortable with and unfortunately it is not just at the college level. This kind of thing extends on down to the high school level as well. What can be done about it? Wish I knew, but seems to me this is an individual responsibility issue. However, peer pressure, drugs, alcohol, and modern attitudes toward sexual activity makes for an environment that is difficult to for a young person to navigate and allows for things to easily get out of control. Absolutely no winners in this case and I take no pleasure in seeing the other guy having to deal with this. But don't think for a minute that it can't happen here.

Investigations, shady connections show disconnect between Dana Altman & Oregon roster

Looks like old Dana altman is having a bit tougher time with his players at Oregon....
He’s down to 10 scholarship players after three were dismissed from the team last week, in the wake of an investigation into an alleged sexual assault of an Oregon coed (the investigation yielded no charges). Some of the remaining names on the roster are noteworthy as well, for the company they’ve kept. This has been a messy run for a reputedly clean man.
There have been four players come and go who had three different allegations of violence against women, including one player who pled guilty to misdemeanor assault of his girlfriend. And there are two incoming recruits with ties to Brandon Bender, who was involved in multiple NCAA violations committed by Central Florida a few years ago, which landed the Knights on probation and earned them a one-year postseason ban.

As for names on the current roster, freshman Ray Kasongo and junior Michael Chandler stand out. Both have ties to Bender, identified by the NCAA as a runner in its investigation of UCF that led to sanctions of the Knights in 2012.
Maybe even 3G saw this as away to stick it to Altman one more time. Maybe 3G was thinking; this kid has ties to a pretty seedy character who contributed to getting UCF put on probation, so let Altman have him. :highly_amused: Proving once again, 3G is smarter than the average bear.
