2014 CBE Hall of Fame Classic

Saw this article related to Alabama's non-con scheduling for next season. Of course, they're playing us here (hope not at IBA), but I saw they're playing in the CBE in KC before Thanksgiving. Look at this field - http://www.al.com/alabamabasketball/...conferenc.html

Are you kidding me? Even if we were headlining, I would love to be in that field!

If we were in that field, you'd have to replace one of the remaining teams with DePaul, since there seems to be an unwritten rule of the universe that they must play in whatever MTE we play in. Then it wouldn't look much different than last season's CBE.

DePaul was the only drag in the 2013 field.

2013 RPI:

WSU #4, BYU #31, Texas #36, DePaul #156

Iowa St #7, Az St #44, Maryland #78, Alabama #124

Yeah, I'm just thinking of this as hindsight. 3 of the 4 teams in last year's field made the tournament, and only 2 of the 4 from next year's made the tournament. Texas ended up being better than anticipated, BYU worse, DePaul slightly better (IMO).
