NJCAA happenings

I mentioned this in Earl Watson's recruiting thread but thought I'd put it here, as well. #7 NW Florida (Carl Hall's alma mater) beat #1 Chipola (Watson's school) by 15 last night. Besides the obvious local ties it has another significance. Currently HutchCC's womens team is ranked #1 in the country. The men are #2 and won at ButlerCC last night. If both win their games on Saturday they should be #1 when the polls come out next week.


I know it's just juco, but still pretty cool, especially with all three D1 men's teams ranked.

Chipola will add to their front court fire power Saturday as Joseph Uchebo will play for the first time this year. The former North Carolina State commitment had been injured.

As expected the Hutch men rose to #1. First time in NJCAA history that the #1 men's and women's teams are from the same school.
