My theory is that as more and more parents refuse to let their children play football, or as kids themselves have less desire to participate, the talent stream would slowly dry up at the high school level first, then slowly at the college level as it becomes harder to recruit from high schools. Finally, over a generation or two, the pros would be impacted. Anyway, I can't see the decline being so rapid as to make it impossible for the BCS programs to adjust their budgets and their programs to compensate.
