I'll put this here, because the thread is recent and is regard to the bowl games.

I don't follow college football much at all anymore and watch very few games and more seldom a complete game.

I had no idea that outside of the play-off games/bowls, there are 37 other bowls. Do these games really have a decent viewership or attendance? I guess if my favorite team was playing, I'd watch, but I don't think I'd bother putting out the cash to go to a totally useless game with no significance.

My guess is sports betting is keeping the bowl games alive.
