  • Could Duke be stripped of National Championship?

I would say yes, but this is the NCAA we're talking about. Time will tell if they have the balls to go after Duke or not.

Well, if they do end up stripping Duke of the title, would that make Butler the first mid-major to win the NCAA champioinship, or was there one before them?

That depends on if you'd consider UNLV a mid as they've never been in a power football conference. And there are others before them as well. But you go back far enough, and those distinctions weren't made between teams/conference.

$97K in jewelry? The NCAA might have no choice in this in the long run. But we'll see just where this goes.

No. The runner up does not get "promoted" to champion. There would be no champion that year if it is vacated.
