Majerus takes leave of absence

I've read a few articles and it doesn't sound good. Hopefully the big fella makes it, but things sound pretty bad and we all know about his past health issues. And it sounds like this would have been his last season at SLU as his contract is up after this season and there have been no indications of an extension coming despite how he's turned that program around.

I would think it would be in Coach Mejerus' best interest to retire for coaching, concentrate on taking care of himself. Perhaps a somewhat limited broadcasting gig might be available to him. I would think the stress level with that would be much less than coaching.

In any case, I wish Coach Majerus well.

But seriously, I hope he gets better and takes good care of himself.
