I couldn't stop thinking that this is the wet dream of many a forum poster around the country. To rant in a paid article in a paper.

The guy is on point, and smart with his ad though. Can't win if the budget isn't committed to winning.

Thank goodness Wichita State dedicates a great budget to our teams.

Thanks for posting this!! Great read, great points. I found it interesting (though not all that surprising) that there seems to be a direct correlation between the dollars spent and the higher the ranking. Does anyone know what WSU's budget is?

His point would probably have been hurt a little if he had added Big 10 standings to his pay chart, considering Ohio State and Michigan barely spend more than Nebraska while ranking 2nd and 3rd in the conference, and Northwestern spends the most while ranking 7th.

Although Ohio State and Michigan have more of a tradition to get kids to come.
