Former SLU coach Spoonhour dies

Spoonhour was a great coach and one of my all time (non WSU) favorites. He coached the Bears before he was at St Louis.

RIP Spoon. A great coach, and frankly one of the few things I have respected out of Springfield.

Spoon was a great coach and IMO an even greater color guy. I dunno what it was, but I loved his commentary. Maybe because it was just so simple and made sense.

Really sad day. I was hoping he would be able to come back to the booth at some point.

I thought about posting it in the main thread, but didn't. Couldn't agree more about everyone's sentiments. You couldn't help but like and respect the man, no matter how much you wanted to beat him.
