I dislike the cheaters as much as anybody, but that is a misquoted sound-bite without context. The full quote is:

To put it bluntly, the NCAA enforcement staff is attempting to end Mr. Self's long and very successful coaching career for conduct which all coaches engage in and which the NCAA has known for many years is commonplace and permissible, i.e., sharing information with and receiving information from shoe company representatives.
The attorney wasn't talking about money changing hands, just information.

Right. But they are not embarrassed because for many years sports writers in the State of Kansas have protected them by NOT telling the truth about their cheating. They talk about them as though they are some kind of blueblood God. A standard that the rest of the state schools should look up to. Thus, many chickenhawk fans and self included have this attitude that they are above the rules. All you hear from chickenhawk fans is their so-called tradition. Bla Bla Bla look at our AFH and our storied tradition. But that so-called tradition is nothing but lies and cheating. For example, the ku basketball program has been placed on probation by the NCAA more times than any other school. (5 Times) Three schools are tied with them. They are Cincinnati, UT PanAmerican, and Minnesota. ku has been on probation for the following years:

        1. 1956 to 1957
        2. 1960 to 1962
        3. 1972 to 1973
        4. 1988 to 1991
        5. 2006 to 2009

So its clear that the chickenhawks have been cheating in every decade. I am sure they have been cheating many other times and just did not get caught. And now they have been caught cheating again red handed on audio and text messaging. Soon they will be in first place all by themselves. And now this clown of a coach uses the media for his own propaganda to make it seem like the tyrant NCAA is picking on him. "You go self , you are the Man!!! " Lets see you fight the NCAA in court. I am sure the NCAA is shaking in their boots scared of cheating, lying, bill.

But hey if self is not cheating, why have so many players been declared ineligible on his watch? He is the one that recruited them. On coach self's watch, players have been declared ineligible for receiving money, improper benefits, phony grades, phony schools, you named it, etc. The long list of players declared ineligible on self's watch include Darnell Jackson, Josh Selby, Brandon Rush, Ben Mclemore, Jamari Traylor, Cheick Diallo, Clifford Alexander, Silvio De Sousa, and Billy Preston. Hey I am sure I have missed a few players, but who's counting? Does anybody really think that this number or players declared ineligible is just a coincident? It's time for the chickenhawks to go to jail for a long time.
I realize you listed only the basketball program. For information only, here is the list for total major infractions
According to the NCAA, the schools with the most number of major infractions cases:

        10 SMU

        9 Arizona State

        8 Oklahoma, Wichita State

7 Auburn, Florida State, Texas A&M, University of California (Berkeley), Georgia, Memphis, Minnesota, Wisconsin, West Virginia,

6 Baylor, Kansas State, Mississippi State, UCLA, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami (Florida), Southern California, Texas-Rio Grande Valley,

Are we sticking up for KU and Bill Self? Why don’t you put up the pictures of Self at the pep rally cheering on Snoop dog with money and pole dancers? He is one smug SOB. KU has always been shielded by NCAA enforcement (KU grads) personnel when the KU grads/enforcement guys lived in Kansas City. They don’t need WSU fans(including im4wsu)) sticking up for them because they’ve screwed us repeatedly.

Well I thought we were talking about basketball. But hey here is some additional information for you. From the time that Little bill has been the basketball coach at ku several basketball players have been arrested for crimes. Many of those players did not suffer the consequences for their deeds because of the sweetheart deals that someone was able to secure for them. The various crimes were battery, domestic battery, DUI, criminal damage to property, threats of harm, leaving the scene of an accident, traffic violations, drug use etc.

The players arrested were Thomas Robinson, Mk. Morris, Brady Morningstar, Elijah Johnson, C.J. Giles, Brandon Rush, Mario Little, Carlton Braggs, Josh Jackson, Tyshan Taylor and I am sure I have forgot some of the players. That is because there are so many!!! In my opinion, S. Collins should have been arrested for sexual assault but got off light with a $75,000.00 civil judgement. And how can we forget that Mario Chalmers and D. Arthur were arrested for smoking weed and hooking up with prostitutes in the NBA rookie camp.

Additional information includes an assistant coach being arrested for possession of marijuana. An assistant coach giving porn stars front roll seats for the KU vs K-State basketball game. An assistant coach refusing to shake the hand of a Nevada players hand and instead telling him to Fk Off. ku basketball players beating up ku football players and throwing them down the stairs of the Satellite Union. LMAO No wonder ku has a pu$$y football program. And how can we forget bringing in Snoop Dog along with strippers and poles last year.

Rock chauk We are a rogue basketball program.

I don't think anyone is "sticking up" for KU and Self. Some folks are just trying to be rational and factual. If one is going to criticize someone, they should at least make sure the criticism is accurate.

There is enough accurate dirt on that program to put their cheating asses on a stake. Critics shouldn't need to exaggerate claims or take things out of context.

I guess I don't feel like giving KU any slack. I've heard from a young age, that they cheated regularly, but the NCAA enforcement staff (the NCAA organization was housed in Kansas City for many years) was largely made up of KU graduates. Those are facts too. KU could have been disciplined many times more had they not had NCAA enforcement staff who were KU graduates sticking their heads in the sand and covering for them many many times.
