If the picture you want to embed is already somewhere on the Internet, you can skip all of these steps and simply copy/paste the URL to the picture you want to display and then jump here: How-To Display an image in a post
If the picture you want to display is on your computer, then proceed here ...
There is an EASIER way than this. But this is the coolest way, because it doesn't chew up @_kai_:'s storage, and because I am showing you a trick so that you don't have to give someone your email address. I am using Firefox to do this. You can do it with Chrome or IE.
1) Go to: http://www.imageshack.us/
2) Click the browse button as shown below.
3) Select the file. Don't worry about any other options on the page (such as resizing, etc).
4) Click "Upload Now" button as shown below.
** Here comes the TRICK **
5) It will prompt you to Register. DON'T!!!
6) RIGHT-click on the faded out portion of the screen and "View Page Source". In IE it would be right-click view source.
7) You will get a new window with a lot of HTML source code gobbledy-gook. Ignore it all. But in the menu at the top select Edit --> Find.
8) On the next line down, start scrolling to the right until you see this:
9) Copy/paste that to the clip board (highlight it and right-click --> Copy
