  • Greetings From Hawaii!

Man it's going to be tough catching that Bracket Buster game at 7am here...

I'm a Florida State alumni, but from Wichita originally, and I was cheering for WSU long before I ever went to FSU, so my basketball allegiance is still with the WuShock. FSU just gets the football cheers and a runner up status in basketball :). Hopefully we won't have to test that in the NCAA tourney, though ...

Loving ESPN3 for making it so I can catch a lot more of the games out here (military service in paradise is tough), instead of all the online radio broadcasts I've been listening to since 2004. I've had a few streaming video sites to catch games on over the last few years, and my family members have six season tickets so I get to hear the updates regularly for any games I miss.

I've been lurking around the forums for a while and figured I'd finally register. Looking forward to a deep run in March and getting all of my info here, since God knows ESPN won't say much.

And just found the baseball schedule I was looking for. Definitely going to make at least two of those WSU/University of Hawaii games to start off March. I was impressed to see so many WSU fans there last year, although I'm sure it's a good excuse for a vacation in Hawaii.

Also, I thought WSU deserved FSU's ranking already. But tonight's game definitely confirmed it. Florida State doesn't deserve to be ranked and WIchita should be a lot higher.

FSU is an upset team that only plays well against good teams, while sleep walking through any game agains teams they consider inferior. WSU is a good team that plays well against everyone, and then BETTER against good teams.

Ok be honest, who were you going for in the 2004 NIT matchup between WSU and FSU, which just so happens to be one of the top 3 most exciting games I have seen?

            WSU.

Although that's an easy answer, as I didn't transfer to FSU for my junior year until August 2004 :)

At that point I had no decided loyalties. I'm slightly more divided now, but I'd still cheer for WSU in a basketball game. Luckily they don't have a football team, though, as I'd be all FSU there.

Hopefully it doesn't happen again in the NCAA tourney, but it'd be a fun game if Florida State decided to actually play. Shockers would win, though. No double overtime needed this year.

I'm really glad you finally decided to register and post with us. It's great to bring Shockers from all over together. It's probably the greatest thing about this site.

Hmm ... I'm not sure. I never manage to follow college baseball as much, and I've seen about the same amount of games for both teams. My grandfather always went to AA games over WSU games, so I saw a lot more Wranglers games (and the Pilots? I think it was the Pilots) when I was younger.

FSU might have me there, especially in Tally. I'd graduated by then, so I missed the game, though.
