I know the title to this thread is not very descriptive, but when I go to reply to a post, I usually copy the post, then start to reply. Once I get to the bottom of my reply screen, it starts jumping around and I can't see what I am typing in order to complete my comment. This just started about a month ago. Any suggestions?

No suggestions but mine will do that from time to time. Not sure why it does it on some posts and not others. Figured my computer just sucked that much.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I'm using XP. It starts to happen when I get down to a certain line in this field. (see TEST)

Well, I am glad to know its not just my computer or my lack of computer skills. I will say this is a recent happening. And yes, by "copy" I mean I used the quote feature.
Sometimes the "quote" is so long, the minute I start typing a reply, the screen does its mexican jumping bean act.
I'm still typing and no jumping.

Oops - Now it starts -- I can't see what I'm typing right now. The screen is jumping up and down. I can use the scroll bar to review what I am typing, but I'm just guessing right now how it looks until I stop typing and go to the scroll bar. Very annoying.

I'm using IE8. I don't know if this is the same thing as what others are seeing, but when I put IE8 in normal "IE8 Mode" and start typing, the screen can't seem to keep up with my typing. I've always had IE8 in "Compatibility Mode" for shockernet.net and other web pages that don't display correctly with IE8, so I hadn't noticed this until I switched to "IE8 Mode".
Some Web sites may not be displayed correctly or work correctly in Windows Internet Explorer 8

Here at school (shhhhh, its my plan period) I cannot replicate the issue using XP Pro SP 3 in IE 7. I'll try at home tonight with XP Home SP 3 IE 8. I'll keep investigating. I've had a similar issue on the online class system with Pitt State, so I think I visually know what you're referring to. Thanks all, I'll do my best to fix it if I can.Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind. ~Dr. Seuss

I was able to replicate the problem at home, though it only happens for me in IE. Firefox seems fine on my WinXP machine. Will keep investigating and hopefully find a fix, whether it be on the site end or user end.
