New "Mention" or "Tagging" System

Ok I have installed a new add-on for the forum. It is a very useful tool, and helps contacting and recognizing certain members within threads. Basically it is like Twitter, when @ someone, it mentions their name. On the forum, when you "tag" someone in a post, it will highlight their name and link you to their profile, as well as send them a notification that they have been mentioned. It's nice if you'd like to get a hold of someone's attention in a thread, that you might think they would look over. There is also a tab in everyone's profile that show's all their mentions as well, that everyone can see.

How to use it:

Type the "@" sign, and then their username. For example @_kai_

But how would I mention @kungwu? How about @WuDrWu:? Or @AwesomeSauceMalone?

Is there an add-on that searches for the users? So many have spaces or underscores or whatever?

So if I had information, for instance, that a top 50 recruit was going to be in town, say this weekend, and I wanted to make sure our resident recruiting experts could chime in if they had information as well, then I could just end the post and do the following:

So let it be written that @Awesome Sauce Malone: is not only allowed but encouraged to speak in the third person and tag himself as often as possible.

Fair enough. A top 50 recruit would be anything but underground. I need to get back into following this stuff more closely. I guess with what @tropicalshox: has done the past few years I've taken for granted all that he and others do and got a little lazy.

I believe the @Downtown Shocker Brown: sends a notification although I don't think you get a further email notification outside of Shockernet. Also, I think you can send PMs to multiple recipients. Am I wrong about this @_kai_:?
