Because I had the time I looked through the presentation data: Link

My simplistic take is that the authors want to redefine what constitutes "government" involvement. Taxing me the same or more, while continuing to limit free market principles does not equate to "less government".

Can we just do an across the board 10% cut so everyone feels the same amount of pain? Or is that too easy a solution.

Here's an unpopular take on how to deal with some of it, For the Nation's Sake, Cut Education Spending. I know a lot of people, especially politicians, don't want to touch education, but the data has always backed up that increased spending has had minimal, if any, effect on education. And before anybody jumps on me, I have plenty of family/friends who teach and it's something my girlfriend has considered going back to school for.

Thats too simple. Unless something is at least 100 pages long no one would regard it.

Give a billionaire a 10% cut, and you really think they'll feel any pain?
